2. Camera Permission

Camera access occurs only when you actively use a camera-based feature.
The App does not use the camera to continuously record, monitor, or track you.

If you choose an existing image from your device for scanning, the App accesses only the image or media that you select, subject to the permissions provided by your device.

We do not use selected images for unrelated purposes.
We encourage users not to submit sensitive personal information through scanning or image-analysis features.

5. AI Food Analysis
The App uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze information such as:

To provide AI analysis, ingredient text and related scan information may be securely transmitted to third-party AI processing providers, including OpenRouter, when required for the requested feature.
Information sent for AI processing may be processed on third-party servers.
We do not intentionally send your personal identity information to AI providers as part of ordinary food analysis.
AI-generated results are provided for informational purposes only.
AI results should not be considered religious, legal, medical, or professional advice. AI analysis may contain errors, omissions, or incorrect classifications.
Users should independently verify important dietary decisions, especially when the halal status of a product is uncertain.
Please do not submit passwords, financial information, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the AI scanning features.
6. Barcode Lookup
When you scan a product barcode, the barcode number may be securely transmitted to third-party food databases, including Open Food Facts, to retrieve publicly available product information.
Retrieved information may include:
Product name
Ingredients
Nutrition information
Manufacturer information
Product category information
A barcode number generally identifies a product rather than an individual.
We do not intentionally associate barcode lookup requests with your personal identity.
7. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services to provide, maintain, analyze, secure, or improve certain features.

Google Play Services — app distribution and Google Play functionality
Google Play Billing — subscription and in-app purchase processing
Firebase Analytics — usage and performance analytics
Firebase Crashlytics — crash and diagnostic reporting
Open Food Facts — barcode and product information lookup

8. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
The App offers optional Premium subscriptions through Google Play.
Available Premium plans may include:

A Premium subscription is not required to use the App.
Free users can continue to access the features made available in the free version, subject to any applicable usage limits.
8.1 Payment and Billing
Payments and subscription transactions are processed by Google Play.
We do not collect or store your full credit card number, debit card number, bank account information, or other complete payment credentials.
Google may process information necessary to complete and manage your purchase, including transaction information, purchase history, subscription status, and billing-related information.

8.2 Automatic Renewal
Premium subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of the applicable subscription period unless you cancel the subscription before renewal.
The applicable price, billing period, renewal information, and any available free trial or introductory offer will be clearly displayed on the Google Play purchase screen before you complete the purchase.
You will be charged through your Google Play payment method according to the terms presented at the time of purchase and applicable Google Play policies.
8.3 Managing or Canceling a Subscription
You can manage or cancel your Premium subscription through your Google Play subscription settings.
In Google Play, subscriptions can generally be accessed through:
Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.
After cancellation, Premium access may generally remain available until the end of the current billing period, subject to the applicable Google Play subscription terms.
8.4 Premium Subscription Status
The App may process subscription status information received through Google Play to determine whether Premium features should be available.
Subscription status may be stored locally on your device for the purpose of providing Premium functionality.
We do not store your full payment card or bank account details.
8.5 Refunds
Payments, refunds, and payment disputes are subject to the applicable Google Play policies and procedures.
For payment or refund-related issues, users should use the Google Play account through which the purchase was made.
9. Advertising
The App does not currently display third-party advertisements.
If advertising is introduced in a future version of the App, applicable disclosures and privacy information will be updated as required.
