17-21 Nov 2025, Wellington, New Zealand. PRICAI 2025
This workshop (AIEES 2025) explores the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in advancing environmental science. As climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion intensify, AI technologies offer scalable, data-driven tools to monitor, model, and mitigate environmental challenges. The workshop aligns with PRICAI 2025’s mission to promote AI research and applications relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in areas with pressing environmental concerns. It will serve as a platform to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between AI researchers, environmental scientists, policymakers, and industry professionals. We invite submissions in two areas:
(1) general AI methods and applications that advance environmental science
(2) a thematic focus on technologies and applications addressing environmental data with spatio-temporal dependencies.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Environmental data and challenges
AI techniques for environmental modeling, forecasting, and simulation.
Spatio-temporal AI model architectures.
Large foundational models for environmental applications.
Machine learning and multi-modal methods for environmental science.
Explainable and trustworthy AI for environmental decision-making and policy support.
Case studies highlighting real world challenges and successful AI applications in climate science.
All accepted submissions will be invited to present their work at the workshop.
A Best Paper Award will be announced during the workshop.
Paper Submission Deadline: 31 August 2025 (AoE) Extended to 20 September 2025
Acceptance Notification: 21 September 2025 (AoE)
Camera Ready: 1 October 2025 (AoE)
Workshop Date: 17-18 November 2025
