It's been a while since I've done a long form update and I figured that it might be a good time to do so. There's just some things that you can't say in a simple Instagram story or a Twitter post.

First off, we've got a lot of catching up to do. Not only is Blood and the Stars: Volume One out for purchase, but so is Volume Two! It's absolutely amazing to have physical copies of my work and I feel like it'll make sure the series is seen by a whole new audience that wouldn't have otherwise gotten the chance to go on that journey. And of course, I've dipped into the WARS universe with WARSONG Academy 27: The Phantom

But you all probably already know that, of course.  After all, they've been plastered all over my social media the instant they come out. What you're really here for is the updates, the announcements, and the cancellations.

In terms of updates, it's fair to say that the Lady Aesculapius Episode 7 redo is indeed taking a little while longer than my previous entry anticipated. Due to a combination of factors, Arcbeatle Press, Dillon O'Hara, and I needed more time to work on it, so that's why you haven't heard much. Nothing scandalous or anything happened; it's just that other things got in the way and led to its delay. The good news is that we have a first draft (as you know from the podcast 10,000FM) and edits are expected soon. I won't put a release date on it, but I will say that progress has been made and it isn't something that's been tossed aside.

Now, on the other hand, Parasites of the Forest is indeed something that's no longer in active development. You may remember that I put a teaser in the New Year's Post, which stated that it would be my first novel. That's no longer the case, especially since Blood and the Stars has had two physical releases already. The other reason is simple; I've hit a roadblock. No matter what I did, I just didn't have the drive or motivation to continue working on it or how to continue with the stuff that I had.

Is it a complete lost cause? Well, no. Every couple of months, I take a look at it and briefly consider working on it again. But for now, don't expect it anytime soon.

Finally, no new announcements yet. Just know that I've got plenty of ideas bubbling and some of those may see fruition. But as I've learned, don't promise what you can't deliver.
