I am an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at Northern Illinois University. I received my Ph.D. in Business Administration (Management Information Systems, minor in Accountancy) from the University of Illinois Chicago in May 2024, under the supervision of Professors Yuheng Hu and Yingda Lu. My research focuses on generative artificial intelligence, human–AI interaction, social media, and digital platforms.
My work has been published in leading journals such as Information Systems Research, Review of Accounting Studies, and Information & Management, and is currently under review or in progress at premier outlets including Management Science, PNAS, and top computer science venues such as ACL and ACM. My research has also received recognition at major conferences, including a Best Paper Award from Review of Accounting Studies and finalist and nomination honors at CIST and INFORMS.
Before joining Northern Illinois University, I served as an Instructor at the University of Illinois Chicago and as a Visiting Scholar at Universität Duisburg-Essen in Germany. I also bring industry experience as a systems engineer and data scientist, having worked with several companies on data-driven projects.
I regularly teach courses in Python programming, deep learning, business analytics, and artificial intelligence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. My teaching has received strong student evaluations, reflecting my focus on clarity, engagement, and applied learning. I am also actively involved in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students on data-driven research projects and professional development.
Outside of academia, I enjoy collaborative research, interdisciplinary projects, and engaging with industry partners on applied AI and analytics problems.
