Keychains

The very first step of this process is to design the layout of the keychains in Adobe Illustrator. Black and white colors were used to determine the area to be engraved and cut out. For my keychains, I designed a name keychain with cartoon icon. After the design process has finished, the file will then be saved in EPS format.

For laser cutting process, the file will be opened in CoralLaser. A material will be chosen to be engraved or cut. There are a few materials that can be used in laser cutting such as plywoods, acrylics and many more. In my case, plywoods are being used for these keychains. The first step in this process is to engrave the product. After the engraving process has finished, the keychains will go through a cutting process and some final touches or finishing process.
