AI Chat Folders — Organize ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini is a Chrome extension that helps you organize your AI chat conversations into folders. This policy explains what data we collect, what we don't, and how everything works.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Free tier (local storage only): We collect nothing. Your folder names, chat assignments, and preferences are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device. We cannot see it, access it, or retrieve it.
Paid tier (cross-device sync): If you upgrade to Pro, we store your folder data on Supabase to sync across your devices. We store: your email address, your folder names and structure, and your chat assignment metadata (chat IDs and titles). We do not store the content of your conversations — only their titles and IDs.
WHAT WE NEVER COLLECT
The content of your AI conversations
Your passwords or login credentials for any platform
Browsing history outside of ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini
Payment information (handled entirely by Stripe)
Any data from websites other than chat.openai.com, claude.ai, and gemini.google.com
PERMISSIONS WE REQUEST AND WHY
Storage — to save your folder data locally on your device
Access to chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com — to read the chat sidebar so we can display your folders. We read sidebar structure only; we do not read conversation content.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Stripe processes payments for Pro subscriptions. Supabase stores sync data for Pro users. ExtensionPay handles subscription management. We never receive or store your payment card details.
DATA DELETION Free tier: Uninstalling the extension deletes all local data automatically. Pro tier: Email us at aichatfolders@gmail.com and we will delete your account and all associated data within 7 business days.
CHILDREN This extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We will update this page if our practices change. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
