AI Cartoon Generator & Avatar ("the App") is operated by Mohamed Yamani ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Photos You Upload
When you use the App, you select a photo from your device to generate a cartoon avatar. This photo is sent to OpenAI's API solely for the purpose of generating your cartoon. We do not store your photos on our servers.
Before your photo is sent, the App will ask for your explicit permission. You may decline, in which case no photo data is transmitted.
Face Data and Biometric Information
The App processes portrait photos to generate cartoon avatars using artificial intelligence. Your photo may contain facial features. We want to be completely transparent about how this data is handled:
- We do not collect, store, retain, or share any face data or biometric identifiers.
- Your photo is sent to OpenAI's API for real-time processing only.
- Face data is NOT retained by us after generation is complete.
- Face data is NOT used for identification, tracking, advertising, or any purpose other than generating your cartoon avatar.
- OpenAI does not retain submitted images beyond the duration of the API request, in accordance with their data usage policies.
Device Information
We may collect non-personal technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for performance and crash reporting purposes.
Advertising Data
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements to free-tier users. Google may collect data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy. Pro subscribers do not see third-party advertisements.
Subscription Data
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation of whether a subscription is active.
2. Third-Party AI Service — Data Sharing Disclosure
The App sends your selected photo to OpenAI (openai.com) for AI processing. Before this happens, the App displays a consent dialog that clearly explains:
- What data is sent: your selected photo (portrait or selfie)
- Who receives it: OpenAI, LLC (openai.com)
- That the photo is not retained after processing
You must actively agree before any photo is transmitted. You may decline at any time, and no data will be sent.

3. How We Use Your Information
- To generate your AI cartoon avatar using OpenAI's API (with your consent)
- To manage your subscription status and unlock premium features
- To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob (free tier only)
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. Data Retention
Photos you upload are processed in real time and are not stored by us beyond the duration of the API call. Face data is not retained.
Generated cartoon images are stored temporarily on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. All communication between the App and OpenAI's API is encrypted using HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable law (such as GDPR or CCPA) to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
