AI Background Remover (“we”, “our”, “the app”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app processes, how it is used, and your choices.
Photos you select are processed on your device using ML Kit segmentation.
Images are not uploaded to our servers for background removal.
Processed files are stored locally in app cache and optionally saved to your gallery when you export.
When Firebase is enabled:
Analytics: Anonymous usage events (screen views, feature usage)
Crashlytics: Crash logs and device model for stability fixes
Remote Config: Feature flags (no personal identifiers)
We do not sell personal data.
This app does not display advertisements.

Photo access: The app uses the Android Photo Picker (one-time user selection). We do not request READ_MEDIA_IMAGES or broad gallery access.
No location, contacts, microphone, or camera permissions are required.
Project history: Stored in a local database until you clear history in Settings.
Cache files: Cleared when app cache is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
Firebase: Retained per Google’s default retention; configurable in Firebase Console.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
