Innovative parallel Photo-reactor (up to 1.2KW of 450nm light)

This project focusses on the development of a so-called photoreactor with homogeneous light and high power density (up to 1.2 kW of 450 nm light if using RUBIX LEDs) consisting of 4 modules of 64 LEDs and 4 independent channels per module. The squared photorreactor is an innovative photorreactor primarily designed for photochemical research, both in synthesis and dynamics. The high power density of the photoreactor might have interesting applications in fine chemistry.

This prototype is compatible with 4 different type of glass vials sizes: allowing up to (256) 1 mL vials, (16) 100 mL vials, (4) 500 mL vials and (1) 1000 mL vial.

ADS131M08-based electrical data acquisition and supervision with LTE-M, Matlab and Arduino cloud

At Schneider Electric, engineers engaged in the development of AI algorithms require high-quality data samples. However, obtaining this data from the field presents challenges due to the limited connectivity of field products to the system. To address this challenge, this project proposes designing a ready-to-run acquisition system for monitoring electrical parameters such as voltage, current, temperature, and noise. This system will demonstrate high accuracy while operating efficiently on battery power, and it will establish a connection to the cloud using narrowband IoT technology, such as LTE-M. Subsequently, the acquired data will undergo analysis using local MATLAB and Simulink tools. Following the data analysis, our developed Simulink embedded algorithms will generate C code, which will then be seamlessly integrated into the firmware. This code will facilitate RMS measurements and anomaly detection for various loads.

QuadControl: Experimental validation of a controller for multiple drones with QTM

This research work deals with the problem of modeling a controller for a quadcopter system based on the property of differential flatness and also designing the motion planning necessary to fly multiple drones. The construction of a mathematical model that depicted the kinematics of the drone was the first task. Furthermore, a simulation environment has been established to construct the LQR trajectory tracker controller. Finally, validating the controller on the selected platform and assessing its efficiency in trajectory tracking for a single drone and multiple drones wrapped up the implementation phase.

Side Channel Attack to Cryptographic MCUs

This work involves hands-on experimentation by making use of Correlation Power Analysis (CPA) techniques on an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) implementation coded in C, running on a STM32 ARM-based microcontroller. The main goal will be to study the AES algorithm and the STM32 – Nucleo Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and propose a measurement method. Then power traces will be captured with the use of an Oscilloscope. The attack will be completed by performing CPA on the captured traces.

TELEKIT-Wearable Health Assistant

Maintaining a healthier lifestyle is quite implausible for the mass people of developing countries like Bangladesh. Instead of regular health checkups, here folks only seek the treatment at the stage of enervate. To ameliorate this situation, in this study, we have proposed a low-cost wearable fitness device named “TeleKit”. We envisioned targeting middle-aged people who are most of the time reluctant to take health precautions. Our developed system is capable of detecting Oxygen saturation, pulse rate, and temperature of the human body. To monitor these physical parameters we have also developed an Android app with a pop-up notification feature. We also classified and aggregated the collected data through an IoT network. Applying a machine learning algorithm we demonstrate the correlation between the health parameters that will help us to predict and take necessary steps before any serious disease. This device will play a crucial role as an emergency, app notification will help the end-users to take necessary precautions. The outcome of this research would help the health service provider and the decision-makers to provide low-cost health kit facilities especially in rural areas.

Smart IoT Switchboard

This is an IoT smart touch switchboard where there are some special features including load management, the energy consumption of outlet, touch switch, etc. This 4 gang switchboard circuit and 3D prototype are designed and manufactured in-house lab. TTP223 touch sensor was used to sense the touch and switch the loads through the relay. ACS712 current sensor measures the current of total load and Rea-time monitoring of energy consumption through ESP8266 connecting with internet apps and web.

IoT based Smart Biofloc Management

Biofloc technology is an emerging environment friendly indoor aquaculture system that degrades organic waste by microorganisms and produces microbial flocs which are used as feed for the cultured organisms. Fish production in Biofloc system is very high and hence this technology has gained increased popularity. However optimal control of the Biofloc environment is necessary for obtaining a high yield. In this paper an automation system is designed for maintaining the temperature of the Biofloc tank at the optimal value corresponding to the type of fish cultured. Temperature sensor has been used to measure the water temperature, pH sensor has been used check the pH level of water, MQ7 sensor used for carbon mono-oxide detection, MQ315 sensor has been used for ammonium detection and sonar sensor has been used for water level detection. An experimental set up has been developed to test the system

Quadrupedal Insect Robot

This work proposed to Design and Implementation of a Quadrupedal Insect Robot to study quadrupedal locomotion and surveillance of the unreachable surface terrain. This four-legged mobile robot has intelligent sensing and decision-making capabilities. Multiple sensors with embedded knowledge bases and learning capabilities are used in a novel approach towards environmental perception and reaction. These sensors continuously monitor the environment as well as their own operating parameters. This robot has the ability to function at varying degrees of intelligence made possible by an object-oriented architecture with embedded intelligence at various levels. Each of the four legs has three degrees of freedom, i.e. Our insect robot has a total of 5 servo motors on its four legs. It can walk and turn, and also can sense the obstacle distance around it. It responds to light, based on prevailing environmental conditions.

Drain Cleaner Robot

This work proposed to construct a mobile device that would remove waste materials such as leaves, bottles, polyethylene, etc. which we usually see disrupting the water flow in roadside drains. This causes huge problems in our society when the drain overflows, acts as breeding grounds for mosquitoes, produces an undesirable smell, and it becomes a reason for health risk in the community. Drain clogging is also one of the major issues for waterlogging in Chittagong. Thus, our aim is to construct a robot that will help to overcome this problematic situation. The device consists of a conveyer belt fitted with a fixed number of claws to pick up the waste material and it is driven by a chain bound to a DC gear motor. The claws will transfer the collected waste into a deposit box and from there it will be displayed in the desired location by means of a conveyor system.
