This figure appeared unexpectedly in my imagination. In the original drawing, her hands

were bound by chains that extended to the ground. Yet somewhere between the sketch

and the painting, the chains disappeared. She

had broken free.

Standing alone in an endless landscape, she embodies a presence that cannot be ignored or

diminished. Her posture suggests neither struggle nor victory, but something deeper: the

certainty of being.
