Human Name: Liang Voltaire (descendant of a Chinese imperial bloodline)
Alias: Voltare
Place of Origin: Born in Beijing, later moved to Falcrest City
Present Location: Falcrest City, operating from the shadows of Dominion’s influence
Voltare was born into a family that carried remnants of an ancient imperial lineage. His father told about if his ancestor got the Eternal Flame, they could've ruled Asia even. As a child, Liang Voltaire promised to spend his life finding the Eternal Flame. His father passed down to him a mysterious heirloom — a heavy silver ring once belonging to their ancestors on his deathbed. The ring itself was only symbolic for generations, a reminder of their lost dynasty. But Voltare’s life changed forever inside the walls of Dominion’s energy factory.
While working as an engineer during a critical storm, he attempted to stabilize an unstable hyper-energy machine. A sudden overload sent raw, uncontrolled energy surging into the ring. Instead of shattering, the ring absorbed the storm’s power and unleashed it into Voltare’s body. When his coworkers rushed to his aid, he panicked — a single glance sent arcs of searing energy through them, leaving them lifeless. Horrified but also exhilarated, Voltare realized the ring had awakened something far beyond electricity. He could now sense and command energy in all its forms — from the current flowing through wires, to the pull of wind and water, to the violent sparks hidden within clouds.
Experimenting in secret, Voltare learned to manipulate and amplify energy around him. He could drain power from machines, explode vehicles with a touch, or bottle lightning inside storm clouds until they burst. But the more he used this power, the more detached he became from ordinary humanity. Dominion saw potential in him and welcomed him into their empire of influence, yet Voltare keeps his own agenda — building a world where energy itself bows to his will.
