Far beyond Earth, the Ascendants thrive — an empire of hyper-evolved humans: stronger, faster, colder, and merciless. They live aboard gigantic space liners and cruisers, always conquering other planets. Their ruler, The Supreme Commander, wields the Ten Rings of Dominion, each giving him unmatched power and authority. He has crushed countless worlds, leaving nothing but ash and silence behind.
Before the Supreme Commander forged the perfect ten, he had some prototypes. One of them was the Ring of Mimicry. Unlike the others, it didn’t unleash destructive energy or grant domination. It simply copied. To the Supreme Commander, it was weak, useless, a mistake. He discarded it into the vaults of forgotten projects.
Ruj Keal was the teenage son of a mid-level Ascendant politician. Though still young, he had seen the horrors committed by the Supreme Commander: entire alien civilizations wiped out, their leaders slaughtered, their people enslaved. While his peers trained to be soldiers, Ruj never felt like them — his conscience wouldn’t let him.
One night, while working with his father, Ruj sneaked into the government vault using his father’s clearance. He found the discarded rings. He searched for it and he found it, The Ring Of Mimicry, glowing faintly. Slipping it onto his finger, he felt its energy pulse with life. When alarms went off, he panicked, stole a pod, and launched himself into space.
The pod crash-landed on Earth, in the back alleys of Orvell city. Bruised, exhausted, and hunted, Ruj realized he couldn’t return home. To survive, he blended in — posing as a normal human teenager. He eventually found work as a waiter at a cheap burger joint called Burger Blast. He wears a wig to hide his identity.
But he wasn’t ordinary. Whenever danger struck, Ruj would slip away into the bathroom, pull out his makeshift suit, and let the ring transform him into Mimesis. With every villain he faced, the ring adapted — copying their abilities, turning their own powers against them.
Earth’s heroes began to notice him: a mysterious teen who could fight like anyone he encountered. But they didn’t know the truth — that he was hiding from something far greater: the coming invasion of the Ascendants.
Far above, in the cold darkness of space, the Supreme Commander turns his gaze toward SS-493 (our solar system). He seeks Earth’s sun to fuel his empire — and to reclaim the ring he once discarded. The Supreme Commander knew Ruj Keal was no match for him, because The Ring of Mimicry couldn't copy more than one ring of his.
And when he comes, Mimesis will be there who will fight him — a teenager with the “weakest ring” facing the most powerful being in the galaxy.
