Sanket Agrawal

I am a first year MPhil/PhD student in Statistics at the Warwick Centre for Doctoral Training in Mathematics and Statistics. My primary research interests include topics in probability and stochastic processes with the current focus being on stability and convergence of Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms. I am from India where I spent the first 24 years of my life. I grew up in the northern state of Uttarakhand, attending school in the mountains. I then completed my BSc and MSc in Statistics also in India. For my MSc project, I was very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Dootika Vats, who introduced me to the problem of optimal scaling in MCMC. I am currently working on large sample analysis of the Zig-Zag process under the supervision of Prof. Gareth O. Roberts.

In my free time, I like to read fiction and watch movies!
