Said AGOUNAD is currently teacher researcher at the physics department, Science faculty of Agadir, Morocco. He obtained his Ph. D. in signal processing and electronics from LMTI lab ("laboratoire de métrologie et traitement de l'Information") of the Ibn Zohr university, Agadir Morocco, on July 2018. He received his MS in systems and telecommunications from Ibn Zohr University in 2014. His main area of interest is in signal processing, artificial intelligence, brain-computer interface, and acoustic scattering. AGOUNAD research is conducted in the laboratory of metrology and information processing.
In research field, AGOUNAD has co-founded the "intelligent system with applications" team at the laboratory of metrology and information processing. He was coordinator of the project “brain computer interface to control devices and help people with disabilities” which was supported by the Ministry of High Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of Morocco, the Moroccan Digital Development Agency (DDA) and the CNRST of Morocco under the grant number 14/FSA/2021. In addition, AGOUNAD was a coordinator of the project "Interface cerveau-machine portative pour l’identification et la reconnaissance des émotions des êtres humains" funded by Ibn Zohr University of Agadir, Morocco. He has authored and co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed journals, proceeding conferences and book chapters, patents. AGOUNAD has supervised dozens of doctoral theses. He served as reviewer of several prestigious journals.
In academy field, AGOUNAD was designated as a deputy head of physics department at Faculty of Sciences of Agadir between December 2023- December 2025, as well as a member of the college of the same department. He was the coordinator of the random processes' module taught in the second semester of the master "Systèmes et Télécommunications", module of "microprocesseur and microcontroleur" taught in the sixth semester of the "electronics and systems" sector. He took part in several modules, TP (Practical work) and/or TD (Tutoriels), such electrostatic-magnetostatic, electronics 1 and 2, electrical circuits, mechanics 1 and 2, thermodynamics, electromagnetic. AGOUNAD has supervised dozens of end-of-study projects in Bachelor's and master's degrees.
