We are running a monthly, free, virtual support group for individuals with swallowing difficulties and their caregivers
While this is not a replacement for medical or psychological advice, it can be a valuable resource to help adult patients and their caregivers make connections with others facing similar challenges. The group is currently being moderated by Zuleikha Wadhwaniya, Ashwini Namasivayam-MacDonald, Sophia Werden Abrams, and Keara Boyce, all licensed speech-language pathologists in Ontario.
Requirements for participation:
Must be an adult with swallowing difficulties or the family caregiver of an adult with swallowing difficulties (no clinicians or other healthcare workers)
Must reside within Canada
Must have access to a computer/tablet/phone with high-speed internet with a microphone and webcam
Must be available for the entirety of the 75-minute session
Please complete one of the forms below to be added to our mailing list. You will be notified via email of each upcoming meeting. You can unsubscribe at any time.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly at macasrl@mcmaster.ca.
