(Founder & Executive Director,
Nozizwe Mother of Nations Trust
Zimbabwe)
Ambassador Dr. Iris Nozizwe Mhlanga is a Zimbabwean humanitarian, global advocate, award-winning leader, and author dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities and empowering women and children. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Nozizwe Mother of Nations Trust, a humanitarian organization committed to community development, education, health, and social empowerment in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Through the work of the Trust, Dr. Mhlanga leads impactful initiatives that support schools, children's homes, and underserved communities. Her organization has built classroom blocks in Zimbabwe to expand access to education, installed solar power systems in children's homes, and conducted medical outreach programs connecting vulnerable communities with essential healthcare services.
Central to this year's theme, the Trust champions water initiatives aimed at improving access to clean and safe water for underserved communities—recognizing that water access is the foundation upon which health, education, and dignity are built. The organization also provides practical support to families in crisis. Among these life-changing efforts, the Trust built accommodation for a differently-abled family that had been left homeless, restoring dignity, safety, and stability.
Dr. Mhlanga is a Global Award Winner, Peace Ambassador, Women Changing the World Ambassador, Global Woman Influencer, and Global Shero. She also serves as a Judge for the Women Changing the World Awards, helping recognize and celebrate women making a significant impact around the world.
As an author and humanitarian leader, Dr. Mhlanga continues to inspire hope, compassion, and transformation, using her voice and platform to create sustainable change across communities locally and internationally.
