The West Midlands region, renowned for its vibrant culture and dynamic business environment, stands at the threshold of a unique opportunity. Leveraging cultural diversity for economic growth has been a cornerstone of our development strategy. In alignment with this vision, we propose this event for cultural exposition to drive business growth in the West Midlands.
Originating from Ghanaian traditions, the African Durbar is a revered assembly where leaders convene with their community through music, dance, and ceremonial acts. It is a practice that celebrates ancestral legacies, bolsters communal unity, and invokes blessings for the populace's prosperity. Our event is inspired by this cultural institution, aiming to forge a space where local enterprises can connect with the community, showcase African heritage, and bolster the regional economy.

H.E. Madam Rita Tani Iddi
Special Guest of Honour
The Deputy Ghana High Commissioner to the UK is Madam Rita Tani Iddi. She has been actively promoting investment opportunities in Ghana and addressing various diplomatic and consular duties. Her role involves representing Ghana's interests in the UK, facilitating diplomatic relations, and assisting in various administrative and consular services for Ghanaians in the UK.
Her key responsibilities include:
· Investment Promotion: Madam Iddi actively promotes investment opportunities in Ghana, highlighting the country's economic potential and encouraging British businesses to engage with Ghanaian partners.
· Bilateral Trade: She works to strengthen trade ties between Ghana and the UK, which is Ghana's fifth-largest export market and seventh-largest import market in Africa. The bilateral trade between the two countries is valued at approximately £1.4 billion, with a trade surplus in Favor of the UK.
· Cultural and Economic Engagement: Madam Iddi engages with various stakeholders, including senior businesspeople, academics, lawyers, and politicians, to deepen and expand Ghana-UK engagement across multiple sectors, aiming to promote shared growth and prosperity.
· Representation: As the Deputy High Commissioner, she represents Ghana's interests in the UK, working closely with the Ghana High Commission and other relevant institutions to advance Ghana's diplomatic and economic objectives.
Madam Iddi's background and experience have equipped her to effectively fulfil these responsibilities, ensuring that Ghana's relations with the UK remain strong and productive.

Nana Baffour Kofi Atobra II Asantehene's Dadiesoabahene is a traditional title held by a chief in the Ashanti Kingdom of Ghana. The title is bestowed upon a chief who has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, wisdom, and loyalty to the Asantehene, the king of the Ashanti people. The Dadaesobahene is responsible for advising the Asantehene and playing a key role in the administration of the kingdom. The title is a symbol of respect and recognition, and the holder is expected to maintain the highest standards of integrity and dignity.
