The Sol Temple stands on the east side o the Kinohtala Temple. Crafted in the architectural styles of the Aviar, the Sol Temple serves as the Cuzamil's entrance into the Sacred Grounds. Along the walls are carvings of Aviar, and depictions of Mol'ecatl and his legends. At the top of the temple stands an obelisk with a torus shape carved at the top. Flanking the walls of the temple are weapons leftover from previous visits.
The Luun temple stands on the west side of the Kinohtala Temple. Crafted in the architectural styles of the Reptarrans, the Luun Temple serves as the Ariduff's entrance into the Sacred Grounds. Along the walls are carvings of the Reptarrans and depictions of Aw'ilix, her two children, and their legends. At the top of the temple stands an obelisk with a crescent moon carved at the top. Inside is a secret storage room where some tomes and scrolls have been kept, logging visits and the layout of the temple grounds, including brief notes on how the sacred grounds were built.
The Ol'ama Arena is a large open stadium where Aviar and Reptarrans compete for the title of champion. Some other sporting events (like sparring) and theatrical productions may also be hosted at the Ol'ama arena. The Arena is a square shape with a circular goal dug into the ground at the farthest sides.
The base of the arena sits on ground level, with entrances at each corner. Rows of stairs lead towards the rows of stadium seats fit to seat hundreds. Above each goal hangs the chief's box, where the chieftains and their families can enjoy a view of the games and productions. In small pockets beside the arena are cut-outs into the stone for teams to huddle and prepare for upcoming tournaments and spectacles.
The XIMOSEUA Temple is a multi-layered temple with many communial rooms inside. Each room has deep pits designed for pools and bathing areas. While the main room is a massive open pool, there are smaller pits in more secluded rooms available for a couple of visitors at a time.
The XIMOSEUA Temple is a popular hotspot. As it so turns out, the pools are hot springs, and the luun crystals that blanket the floors of each bathing pit infuse the waters of the springs with healing properties.
An open-air hall dedicated to community fellowship. Shallow pits for bonfires are scattered across the floor, and evidence of many parties remain. The pillars of the KOONOLYOTL Temple are decorated with ornate carvings of the jungle landscape, while luun crystal lanterns have been strung between the pillars.
The KOONOLYOTL Temple doubles as a place of trade goods as needed, particularly during festivals or ceremonial events.
a DUAL-SIDED TEMPLE. spLIT IN HALF, THE sIIBAL TEMPLE CELEBRATES aW'ILIX THE GREAT RESTORER AND MOL'ECATL THE GREAT CONQUEROR RESPECTIVELY, AND BOAST INTRICATE SHRINES TO EACH GUARDIAN. tHE SIIBAL TEMPLE IS A HOLY SITE TO BOTH REPTARRANS AND AVIAR, AS MANY DENIZENS OF kINOHTALA ASK PRAY FOR BLESSINGS, GUIDANCE, AND PROTECTION in this space. It is a space that is well-maintained by both clans.
Standing taller than all of other structures in the Sacred grounds is the Kinohtalan Temple. This massive temple was created by building structures over top of each other four times, creating a stepped pyramid. Each Temple serves a different purpose for the sister clans.
Anyone who wishes to travers the Temple's floors must do so by first entering through the Gateways at the top of the temple, having traversed the thousand steps.
The interior is is illuminated by Luun Crystals, but the each layers are fitted with windows as well.
Layer One, The Vault:
The core of the temple, and the first layer built by the earliest members of the Ariduff and Cuzamil Clans. The Sol and Luun temples are closest to the Vault Layer, where all recorded history and artifacts belonging to both clans have been stored for many years. Thousands of scrolls are kept safe in the vault, detailing traditions, ceremonies, weapons and technology crafted by the two clans.
The vault as a whole is protected by Luun and Sol magic. Luun prevents parchment from deteriorating so long as they remain inside the vault layer, while Sol activates aetheric defenses against any who are not welcome.
Layer two, The Sanctuary:
The second layer of the temple, built over the Vault. The Sanctuary is the primary lovation for sacred rituals to be performed. Carved from stone, statues of Aw'ilix and Mol'ecatl stand proudly around a large circle in the floor. Their eyes glitter with gemstones, watching over the temple with paws and fins outstretched.
The paw and fin of aw'ilix and mol'ecatl are the perfect size for the sol and luun stones to perch in. Often, the sanctuary is tended to by priests and warriors who spend much of their time in prayer and fasting in the honor of the guardians.
Layer Three, The Round Table:
The third layer of the Kinohtalan Temple. The Round Table houses important meetings and delegations that must be discussed between leaders and representatives of both clans. (Usually regarding the overall state of the Jungle, or to consult scholars and Warders over changes in the Sol and Luun energies.) WHile such meetings tend to be rare, both Clans believe in fostering a healthy communication with one another.
Within the vault layer, records will mention that the Round Table was once used when meeting with peoples who descend upon kinohtala's beaches. The records do not state how long ago that was.
At the Center of the Round Table Layer is a large, smooth stone table. The surface of which bears carvings of Virga Fish and Wild Garra Keepers. Tall windows on all sides of the Round Table Layer allow natural sunlight to fill the room during the day.
Layer Four: The Gateways:
The fourth and final layer of the Kinohtalan temple. The Gateways layer is a small chamber accessible by the thousand steps up the side of the temple. The Gateways are surrounded by four tall obelisks similar to arcanus' temporal tower, but not as tall, and made of stone. These obelisks glow with Luun and Sol energy during ceremonies involving the stones, and react to the streaks of light that pierce the sky eveyr so often.
tHE GATEWAYS LAYER SERVES AS THE TEMPLE'S MAIN ENTRANCE, HOSTING FOUR CHAMBERS ALONG THE WALLS THAT CONNECT TO STAIRS AND CORRIDORS THAT DESCEND IN A SEMI-SPIRAL FASHION. eACH OF THE FOUR CHAMBERS CONNECT TO A DIFFERENT TEMPLE LAYER.
