Aegis Browser — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how MD. Nasar Uddin Redoy ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Aegis Browser ("the App"). By using Aegis Browser, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
Subscription and payment information processed securely through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card or payment details.
b) Information Collected Automatically
Browsing history and bookmarks — stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers.
App settings and preferences stored locally on your device.
Crash reports and performance data (anonymous, collected by Expo/React Native).
c) Biometric Data (Face ID / Touch ID)
Aegis Browser uses your device's biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) to lock and protect Private Browsing sessions. Biometric data is processed entirely by iOS — we never access, store, or transmit your biometric information.
d) Voice Search & Microphone
When you use voice search, your voice input is processed using Apple's built-in Speech Recognition framework. Audio is sent to Apple's servers for transcription under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not record, store, or transmit your voice data independently.
e) Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or sell your browsing history.
We do not track websites you visit.
We do not sell or share any personal data with advertisers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
Process and manage your subscription via RevenueCat and Apple.
Send important service notices (subscription status, updates).
Diagnose crashes and fix bugs to improve your experience.
Comply with legal obligations.
3. Ad Blocking & Privacy Protection
Aegis Browser includes built-in ad and tracker blocking. This feature works entirely on your device — no browsing data is ever sent to our servers. All block lists are processed locally to ensure your privacy remains intact.
4. Private Browsing Mode
Aegis Browser includes a Private Browsing mode that keeps your browsing activity isolated:
Private tabs do not save browsing history, cookies, or cached data after the session ends.
Private sessions are protected by Face ID / Touch ID biometric lock.
Private tabs use a separate, isolated cookie store that does not interact with your normal browsing session.
Private browsing data is stored only in memory and is cleared when you close the private session.
5. Background Audio Playback
Aegis Browser supports background audio playback, allowing media from websites to continue playing when you switch apps. We do not monitor, record, or transmit information about what you listen to. Background audio operates entirely through iOS's native audio system.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
RevenueCat
Used to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymized subscription data to process payments. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple App Store
Payments are processed by Apple. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to all transactions: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Websites You Visit
Websites you visit through Aegis Browser have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any websites you visit.
7. Data Storage & Security
Your browsing data (history and bookmarks) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do not have access to this data. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data that does pass through our systems, including HTTPS encryption for all network communications.
8. Data Retention
Local data (browsing history and bookmarks) remains on your device until you clear it within the App or uninstall the App. Subscription data is retained by RevenueCat and Apple as necessary for billing purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
Aegis Browser is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access any personal information we hold about you.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Opt out of any marketing communications.
Cancel your subscription at any time through Apple's App Store settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of Aegis Browser after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
