This Privacy Policy describes how Aegis Blocker ("the Extension") handles information when you use our Chrome browser extension.

Aegis Blocker does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All extension data is stored locally on your device and never leaves your browser.

We do not collect any personal information. Aegis Blocker does not collect, process, or transmit any of the following:

Device identifiers

User behavior or usage analytics
2. Data Stored Locally
Aegis Blocker stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in storage API:
Extension settings (filter list preferences, enable/disable state)
Whitelist of trusted domains
Custom filter rules you have added manually
Aggregate blocking statistics (counts only, no URLs stored)
Daily blocking counts for the last 30 days
This data is never transmitted to any server. It remains entirely within your browser and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the extension.
3. Network Requests
Aegis Blocker does not make any network requests to external servers. The extension operates entirely offline after installation. It uses Chrome's declarativeNetRequest API to block ad and tracker requests at the browser engine level without sending any data externally.

declarativeNetRequestFeedback — Counts blocked items for statistics display
storage — Saves settings and statistics locally
tabs / activeTab — Displays current site domain and applies per-site settings
webNavigation — Resets per-page counters on navigation
contextMenus — Provides right-click quick toggle option
Host permissions — Allows content script to hide ad elements on all websites
5. Third-Party Services
Aegis Blocker does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or external APIs. The only external resource accessed is Google's favicon service to display website icons in the popup.
6. Children's Privacy
Aegis Blocker does not collect any data from any users, including children. The extension is safe for use by people of all ages.
7. Data Deletion
You can delete all Aegis Blocker data by:
Uninstalling the extension from Chrome
Using the "Reset to Defaults" button in the extension Settings
Clearing extension data through chrome://extensions
