In this department, main stress was given isolation & purification of enzyme, advance techniques like ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay), Isolation of Genomic DNA & organic DNA & purification of plant viruses, etc.

Department of Plant Biotech

In this department the main study consist of plant physiology, cell biology, Tissue culture, Biotechnology & Biodiversity conservation. The practicals are mainly on Chromatography, Ultra centrifugation Techniques, Isolation of plasmid DNA, Establishment & maintenance of calices & suspension culture meristem culture, protoplast isolation & green house production of flower & vegetables.

Department of Crop Science

In this department main study is on crop production, entomology, plant pathology, microbiology, soil biology, organic farming etc. The practicals are mainly on cultivation of different crops i.e. cereals, pulses, oil seeds, sugarcane, fruits, vegetables & flower production on college farm.

Department of Post Harvest & Food Biotechnology

In this Department main study is industrial microbiology, human nutrition, Immobilized bio catalysis, food processing , fermentation technology & post harvest biotechnology. The main practicals is on isolation & screening of Micro organisms analysis of food for proximate composition, estimation of enzymes & isolation of organisms & enzymes which are responsible for maintenance & deterioration of food & food product.

Department of Animal Biotech

In this Department main study is on animal cell culture, immunology, biotechnology of ruminant & feed utilization, dairy process biotechnology, etc. The practicals are mainly on immunization techniques, immunocyto techniques, techniques of cell culture, media preparation, identification of Rumen microbials, preparation of plasmids DNA, invitro culture of embryo, etc.
