When the client is involved in a car accident, the first thing to do is communicate by phone, email or any written communication. Exchange Written Discovery
This document should come from both involved parties. They both should answer written questions to one another and produce evidence to both parties. The discovery process normally occurs within the minimum six months. For busier courts (Atlanta, Georgia), when the lawsuit takes a little longer, both parties will take depositions. This means there will be people who will be invited as witnesses. These normally happen in a conference room with the presence of the lawyers, parties involved. They are there to give testimonies under oath. This may occur after the Discovery period is over.
Prepping for the Trial
This means getting all the exhibits together and ensuring that all the witnesses will attend the trial. Everybody in your team should know what their roles are, especially when presented to the jury. Equally important is scheduling the trial by having a trial calendar. It basically refers to the process of figuring out exactly when a given case is scheduled to go to trial.
