Effective Date: February 28, 2026
AdWall ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the AdWall Chrome Extension ("the Extension").
1. Data Collection and Usage
AdWall is designed to protect your privacy by blocking intrusive advertisements and trackers. We do **not** collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal information.
1.1 Permissions Justification
To function correctly, the Extension requires the following permissions:
- `webRequest` and `<all_urls>`:These permissions allow the Extension to inspect network requests made by your browser on all websites and block those that match known advertising or tracking patterns.
1.2 Local Processing
All filtering and blocking operations are performed **locally** on your device. The Extension does not send your browser history, the URLs you visit, or any interception data to our servers or any third parties.
2. Analytics
The Extension does not use third-party analytics software (like Google Analytics) to track your usage, clicks, or behavior. We rely solely on the anonymous install statistics provided automatically by the Chrome Web Store dashboard.
3. Data Sharing and Sale
Because we do not collect any personal data, we cannot and do not sell or share your data with any third party.
4. Support / Donation Page
AdWall includes an optional “Support” button that redirects users to an external GitHub Pages website owned by the developer. This page only provides links to third-party payment platforms if the user chooses to support the project. Visiting this page is optional. The Extension does not track interaction with this link and does not collect payment information. Any payment interaction is handled entirely by the selected third-party payment provider.
5. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or Chrome Web Store Policies. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
6. Contact Us
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the Chrome Web Store support page for the Extension.
