Adventure Hacks is the first student organized and open to public hackathon hosted in Fairfield County! Hosted by the Stem Venture Crew 353 with help from the Darien Programming Club, Adventure Hackathon is a free hackathon, following a single day 10-hour hacking schedule and open to high school and middle school students.
Adventure Hacks is open to any and all interested students, no matter their skill level! Teams of up to 4 are encouraged, but you do not need to have a team to enter. A help desk will be available for anyone needing assistance during the coding process.
Hackathons are a chance for young students to team up and showcase their abilities through an open-ended problem-solving project! On the day of the competition, participants will receive a prompt, which they will be basing their project off of (ex: Art, Health, Space). Projects will be judged based off of their adherence to the prompt, the technical abilities they showcase, and how creative they are.
Submissions can be anything that is fully created by the participant. Generative AI will not be allowed to code for you. Submission types can range from games to websites and more, so you can create whatever technology you want using whatever platform you want!
