Balancing innovation with cybersecurity risk management has become a critical challenge across all sectors as artificial intelligence rapidly transforms global businesses and the geopolitical landscape. The "Advanced AI Safety Forum (2026)," co-hosted by the NTU IoX Center and the Taiwan AICoE, will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Socrates Room, GIS NTU Convention Center.
This year's forum builds on last year's focus on international technical practices under the core theme of "AI Risk and Governance," bringing together national and industry leaders to delve deeper into "Compliance and Implementation Practices in the Financial Industry" and "National-Level Cybersecurity Governance and Trust Pathways."
📌 Highlights
National-Level Cybersecurity Strategy & Trust: Key officials from the Institute for Information Industry (III), the National Institute of Cyber Security (NICS), and the Cybersecurity Research Center at Academia Sinica will discuss the transition from cybersecurity to industry trust. They are going to give a comprehensive overview of the latest technological and policy developments in AI Security and Trustworthiness.
Broadening Financial and Industry Practices: Building on the inaugural forum's emphasis on practical application, this year’s event features the Managing Director of EY Advisory and the Vice President of Cathay Life Insurance, alongside Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from Mega Financial Holding, SinoPac Financial Holdings, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, and E.SUN Financial Holding. They will analyze real-world compliance challenges, cybersecurity risk management, and safety governance frameworks when deploying AI in the banking and insurance sectors.
International Perspectives on Cutting-Edge Risks: Continuing our engagement last year with global experts, we are pleased to host Daniel Remler, Senior Fellow at the prominent US think tank, the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). In his keynote address, he is going to guide the audience through the critical red lines and national security risks posed by advanced AI.
This full-day forum marks the second chapter of our event series. Seats are limited. We warmly welcome you to join the conversation, whether you work in academia or the business sector.
We look forward to seeing you at the forum and let's collaborate to further the sustainable and safe development of AI!
