For this Challenge, you may do one of two things:

1. Thought Experiment

   • Think of a use case for Compliant Mechanism(s) using and perform research, testing, experimentation, etc. to flush-out and justify your planned use case. Include things like:

     • What would be the measurable benefit/improvement of utilizing Compliant designs for your proposed application?

       • Benefit can be in the form of product performance (weight/strength/etc.), cost, manufacturing/process performance, etc.

2. Case Study

   • Research and analyze an existing application of Compliant Mechanism(s)

     • What was intended to be accomplished at the outset of the project? Did they achieve, exceed, or all short of their original goals/objectives?

     • What did you agree/disagree with about the specific application of Compliant Mechanism(s)?

     • What aspects of their design could be improved, either from the perspective of product performance, manufacturing efficiency, cost, etc.?
