The objective of this assignment is to design & manufacture a flatpack product made from a single sheet of material

• The product in question is a chair, the design of which is entirely up to you

  • The sheet of material your chair must be made of is ~0.5" x 48" x 48"

  • The design must not using any permanent joining methods (gluing/adhesive, nails, screws, etc.) - look to interlocking geometries/methods

• For the final prototype of your chair, you cannot use more materials than the single sheet of plywood, mistakes included

  • For this reason, it is highly recommended to utilize prototyping techniques such as those shown below;

    • Make scaled-down prototype versions of your product using sheets of paper, cardboard, cardstock, or other materials

    • Determine the correct fitment of joints, slots/tabs, etc. in small pieces of material before cutting the entire chair out
