My research interests lie at the intersection of public finance and economic development, with a regional focus on East Africa. I predominantly work with administrative tax data, in close collaboration with national Revenue Authorities, to understand firm behaviour, tax compliance, and the impacts of different tax policy choices.
I am currently working towards my PhD in Economics, jointly supervised by Dr Giulia Mascagni and Dr Amalavoyal Chari. I also work as a researcher for the International Centre for Tax and Development, based at the Institute of Development Studies.
