Planning:
I started with the topic and the goal. Once I knew these two pieces of information, I was able to decide the best format for the project.
Design process:
My design process began with researching some of the best tips for creating a professional video. I chose to include research from those creating videos for social media and YouTube as well as professional videographers. I compiled a list of the most common tips, decided what topics the tips would fall under and created an outline for the text portion of the infographic.
Developmental process:
This process began with me selecting the colors of the design. As this piece was design to be a quick reference that a person could use, even while on video, I kept the variety of colors to a minimum. I wanted enough colors to catch the eyes, but not so many that it would be overwhelming.
Once the colors, graphics and text were selected, the nest step was organizing everything on the product for the greatest effect. I chose to use Canva for this project because the platform allowed me to rearrange the information easily until I was comfortable with the design.
After the initial design was completed, it went through a series of feedback loop and suggested changes were made.
Results:
To measure the results of the project, I would use any video made and evaluate them using the topics listed on the infographic: video background, audio, lighting, and presenter comfort.
Solutions:
The final project design is an easy-to-read infographic that provides points for immediate use. It also provides a quick reference without a lot of extra words so the graphics can provide a reminder.
