After nearly 60 years of photography in retail, professional and commercial work, projects, commissions, Governement grants, curating and personal exhibitions, with photography lectures, workshops, and mentoring - plus a psychotherapy practice, and a philosophy tutor - with all these weaving together, Adrian has an eclectic collection of interests and projects.
But they generally revolve around people with their interesting stories, humanity and the environment.

Have you ever wondered that after taking that truly magnificent scene, that you later thought, “Why on earth did I take that?” “What did I miss?”
Well, it’s a subconscious thing, and we’re about to make it easier for you to recognise exactly what and why certain elements of that scene attract and engage you, before you take that shot, so you can use particular techniques to fully extract those important elements. 2. PROJECTS FOR EXHIBITIONS
These are some past and current projects, some have been exhibited, some are a work in progress
Skin-Deeper - A work in progress towards a large hard covered book and an exhibition.
Looking beneath body adornment into the mind of what and why pieces were chosen.
Every piece of body art, whether it's a tattoo, implant, piercing, charring or scarring, has an interesting story behind it. There's more to them than what appears on the surface - they're deeper.
This project is to highlight the incredible range of body adornment and the stories behind them. Some are happy, some are sad, some are memories, and all are insights to the wearer who chooses to put those memories on display.

This will be a collaborative project about the environment and humanity, comparing the beauty and degradation of both.
The result will be a web site, perhaps a book and maybe a touring exhibition with a relevant organisation.

86 veterans from (mainly) Vietnam to present conflicts are represented here. They were photographed in the same pose and lighting as their original enlistment photo which was anywhere form a thumb nail size to an 8x10 inch. The poster size photos (20x30 inches) graced and filled the art gallery.
The resemblance between then and now was so uncanny that I morphed the young and present photo into an aging video which is amazing to view.
There are also 24 audio stories they tell of the more humorous aspects of service, in true Aussie spirit. It was a very popular exhibition where busloads of tourists came from wide areas around to see it.

3. PERSONAL PROJECTS
These are my interests where my imagination runs amok.
I was the victim of this internationally known con man, wanted by Unipol and top of Australia's most wanted list in the 80's. And yep, he got me and led me on an intercontinental journey to siphon hundreds of thousands of dollars off unsuspecting victims.
A con man with no conscience.
Bank fraud, drugs, smuggling, kidnapping, jail in a foreign country, arson and murder. All true.
Readers tell me that they literally couldn't put it down.

These are selfies depicting various moods. A humorous take on sometimes serious subjects.
"Curiosity" (Look at these only if you're curious 😁)
I call this style: Bizarro in honour of the famous cartoon hero who was made up of fragmented pieces.
Why connect it to this style of imagimg? Because when we look at scenes, we can't take it all in at one glance so our eyes dart all over the place looking at small areas that attract or interest us. Our brain completes the picture.
So these images are designed to depict that piecemeal collection of the whole, just like our brain does. By making it a mosiac, the viewer is compelled to engage more with the image.
