Single Room Escape - Mannescape

If the game crashes upon opening the executable, open Game.ini and change "RGSS102E.dll" to "RGSS104E.dll".
Alternatively, you can try allowing the game through Windows' DEP (Data Execution Prevention) settings.

Welcome to the Single Room Escape / Mannescape Version Archive!
Every version is here (with a few reconstructions) and in playable form!

Personally, if you want to start anywhere with these, start with Version 1.1.

Version 1.0 contains a not-so-fun algebra-based puzzle that turns people away from playing it,
in addition to the mannequin not being present in this version at all.

Version 1.1 removes the algebra part of the puzzle in favor of something more simpler
and the mannequin that everyone knows (and is scared of) is present here.

If you'd like to make videos of any of the versions listed here,
please keep in mind that these older versions
do not reflect on the quality of Mannescape Version 2.0.
So if there are any frustrations when playing these past versions,
they've most likely been addressed in newer versions anyway.

To start the archive, it's important to understand that Mannescape went through three different phases:
Single Room Escape, Mannescape with the Old Layout, and then Mannescape with the New Layout.
I have given my recommendations on which versions are the definitive ones to play out of all three phases.
