Click on Create a Project or select one of the formats from the menu.
2. If you click on Create a Project you will have a few options for Post options: Flyer, Branded graphic, and Custom size graphic. Select the type of Post you’d like to make.
3. If you select Custom size graphic, you will have several size options or you can create your own custom size.
4. You can choose one of Spark’s templates shown on the right or you can click on Add to begin adding elements to create a post from scratch.
5. Text: Once you have added text, double click on top of the text or click on Edit (a) when the text is selected to edit it. You can resize or move your text by clicking and dragging on the corners of the text box (b) or rotate it by clicking on the rotate function (c) when your text box is selected. You can also change the the font, color, and other text features from the menu on the right (d) when your text is selected. The Style option allows you to choose from Spark’s style suggestions.
6. Image: When you add an image, you can upload your own photos (a), find free Creative Commons-tagged images using Spark’s image search (b), or add photos from your Dropbox or Google Photos (c).
When you add an Image you will choose whether to add it as a background image or as one that you can move freely.
When you have selected an image you can click on replace (a) to choose a new image. You can to scale (b) or rotate (c) the image. You can make other adjustments to your image or apply a filter using the menus on the right (d). You can also change images to or from background and freely moving images (e) in the Image menu.
7. Change the entire design of your Post by clicking on Design in the right menu when nothing in the post is selected. Choose from one of Spark’s suggested design filters. You can click the undo arrow at the top to change back.
8. Change your color scheme by clicking on Colors in the right menu. Spark gives you a number of palettes to choose from or you can modify a palette by clicking on the adjustor icon (a) on the palette you’ve selected. You can also change how your image uses the palette colors by clicking on the shuffle icon (b) on the palette.
9. Change the layout of your post by clicking on Layout in the menu on the right. There are many different layout options to choose from. You can also add a border to your Post (a). Change the size of your graphic on the Resize menu (b).
10. When you are finished, click on Share at the top of the screen to publish and create a link for Post or click on Download to save a copy of your own.
Classroom signs and posters: Announce meetings or events, post encouraging messages to students
Memes: Create memes to share in your classroom
Exit tickets: Have students use Posts to create virtual exit slips to check for understanding
Key Fact Cards: Students can uses Posts to create fact cards with information they need to know
Quotes and keywords: Create Posts for keywords with their definitions or for quotes students need to remember
Class Reward Badges or Certificates: Create award certificates or badges to give to your students.
