Use custom or premade assignments, including Newsela content, for each writing lesson. See students' writing progress in real time to monitor their writing frequency and accuracy. Leverage continuous, immediate, rubric-aligned feedback to save time and help students improve the quality of their writing. Gain actionable student insights to track progress and identify areas for additional support.
Generation Genius's videos and lessons have been brought together with Newsela's real-world, differentiated leveled content into one awesome platform. Content is aligned to NGSS and state standards with built-in activities, vocabulary, and assessments. Supports teachers with ready-to-use lesson plans, discussion prompts, and differentiation tools. Newsela STEM combines K-12 science education with technology and engineering concepts, plus math as a complement.
Starting next school year, Newsela will offer a new library of decodable texts designed specifically for middle and high school students who need continued support with foundational reading skills. These new texts will help students practice essential phonics patterns in age-appropriate, engaging ways that build confidence and unlock access to more complex content.
