Adivasi Matrimony ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
• Full name (first name + surname)
• Email address — used for login via secure Google authentication
• Password — hashed and managed securely by our authentication provider
• Profile created for (self / son / daughter)
1.2 Profile Information
• Age and gender
• Height
• Tribe / community — Gond, Naikpod, Koya, Kolam, Pardhan, Thoti, Chenchu, Andh, Konda Reddy, Lambada, Santali, Oraon, Munda, Bhil, Warli, Khond, Bodo, Meena, Ho, Other
• Marital status (Never Married, Divorced, Widowed)
• Religion (Adivasi / Other)
• Education qualifications (single or multiple selections)
• Occupation / job title
• Annual income (optional)
• About / bio — free text describing personality and expectations
• Phone number (optional; can be set to private)
1.3 Family Information
• Father's name and occupation
• Mother's name and occupation
1.4 Location Information
• State, District, and Mandal / Town (text input — no GPS or live location is collected)
1.5 Photos & Media
• Up to multiple profile photos stored securely on our cloud servers
• Each photo can individually be marked public or private
• Private photos are visible only to mutually matched users and admin during review
• A selfie captured live via camera only (not gallery) for identity verification — stored privately in our secure cloud storage under a private, restricted storage path; never shown to other users
1.6 Device & Session Information
• Google’s push notification service token — saved on login to enable push notifications
• Online presence status and last-seen timestamp (stored securely 'presence' our cloud database collection)
• App usage data collected by our analytics provider (aggregated, not personally identifiable)
1.7 Chat & Interaction Data
• Messages exchanged in the in-app chat (stored in our cloud database 'chats' collection)
• Deleted messages are flagged (text cleared) but the record is retained for audit integrity
• Interest requests sent and received (stored securely on our servers)
• Block records (stored in your private account data)
• Reports submitted against other users (stored securely on our servers)
1.8 Notifications Data
• Notification records (type, message, timestamp, read status) stored securely on our servers
• Types: likes, matches, interests received/accepted, chat messages, profile approved/rejected, admin messages
2. Privacy Controls Available to Users
• Phone number visibility: can be set Public or Private during profile setup
• Individual photo privacy: each uploaded photo can be toggled Private or Public
• Private photos are accessible only to admin (for review) and mutually matched users
• Profile can be paused by admin (account temporarily hidden from search)
ℹ Your selfie is strictly private. It will NEVER be displayed on your profile or shared with any other user. It is used solely for identity verification by our admin team.
3. How We Use Your Information
• Create and manage your account and profile
• Enable matchmaking: browsing profiles, swiping, sending and receiving interests
• Enable in-app chat between mutually matched users
• Deliver push notifications (likes, matches, messages, interest updates, approval status)
• Verify your identity using your selfie during admin profile review
• Review and approve/reject profiles before they go live
• Review and approve/reject profile change requests
• Handle user reports and enforce community guidelines
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience
4. Profile Approval Process
All newly registered profiles go through a mandatory admin review before they are visible to other users:
• Pending — Profile submitted; awaiting admin review
• Approved — Profile verified and visible; your profile is marked as identity-verified
• Rejected — Profile not approved; user is notified and may contact support
• Paused — Account temporarily hidden from search by admin; user is notified
Admin can also review and approve or reject profile change requests submitted by existing users. Revocation of mutual match access (chat, private photos, contact) is admin-controlled.
5. Data Storage and Security
• All user data stored securely on our cloud servers
• Photos and selfies stored securely on our cloud servers
• Push notification tokens are stored securely for notification delivery
• Online presence data stored securely to support chat features
• Password hashing and session security is managed by our authentication provider
• We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorised access
• No method of electronic transmission over the internet is 100% secure
6. Data Sharing
• We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party
• Data is shared only with Google (our cloud infrastructure provider) as our infrastructure provider, under Google's data processing terms
• Reports submitted by users may be reviewed by our admin team to enforce safety
• We may disclose data if required by applicable law or governmental authority
7. User Rights
• Edit or update your profile at any time from within the app
• Change photo and phone number privacy settings at any time
• Block or unblock other users
• Report abusive or fake profiles
• Delete your account — requires password re-authentication; all data is permanently deleted
• Sign out of the app at any time
ℹ Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All profile data, photos, chat history, and interests will be removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Push Notifications
• Push notification tokens are saved automatically upon login and updated as needed
• Push notifications are sent via our secure notification system
• Notification triggers: new interest, interest accepted (match), new chat message, profile approved/rejected, admin messages
• You can disable notifications at any time via your device's notification settings
9. Children's Privacy
Adivasi Matrimony is strictly for users 18 years of age or older. Users must affirmatively confirm their age during signup. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover a minor has created an account, it will be deleted immediately.
10. Consent at Registration
During signup, users must explicitly:
• Check a checkbox confirming they are 18 years of age or older
• Check a checkbox agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
These consents are required for both email/password signup and Google Sign-In. Signup is blocked if either consent is not given.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
