ADELINA SHARIPOVA

Hi and welcome!

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Ghent University, Belgium. I am a member of the International Trade, Investment & Migration group and United Nations University - Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS). Currently I am working under the supervision of prof. dr. Glenn Rayp and prof. dr. Samuel Standaert.

My doctoral thesis is in the field of international economics. More specifically, I focus on the impact of economic integration agreements on trade, migration and investment flows. The project is funded by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO).

Prior to starting the doctoral journey, I worked for two years on the intersection between labour market discrimination and health economics at the research group Labour Economics and Welfare. Before joining Ghent University, I studied Economics at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.
