The Essence of Mastery

We can build and develop ideas in a way that enables us to face contemporary challenges, and achieve our own excellence with mastery, creativity and excellence, as previous pioneers have said, as every true success requires different abilities and a belief that we can overcome those challenges that we face through the effort and fatigue required to achieve the desired goals.

Albert Einstein once said, "Only one who devotes himself to a cause with all his strength and spirit can be a true master of his field. That is why mastery requires everything from a person."

Nelson Mandela's words, "It is easy to be shattered and destroyed, it is heroes who make peace and build," are worth pondering.

Technology as a Tool, Not a Replacement

In order to improve societies in light of the modern information revolution, which represents a natural development of computer science and information systems throughout the different eras, we must first realize that this revolution is at the level of the tools used to improve our lives and help us develop our creativity in various fields, and not in any way to replace humans with machines.

Here, let us pause, to reflect together on the concept of using these tools, to enhance our abilities to be creative and differentiated. If we realize that our actions make or shape the outcomes of any system, then we will realize that what we see as the misuse of what we have is our own creation!

Man, Not the System

There are many examples of misuse of systems, so what we read and see on a daily basis on some "social media" such as the deterioration of content for the sake of entertainment or the discharge of anger from a certain event, is it made by the platform itself or is it from the user's input?!

The answer is undoubtedly man-made and not the system itself, because systems are just a means or tool that allows us to create and publish content, and this brings us to an important point to complete the vision, which is that the actions of the recipient are what encourage those people who create bad content to continue their actions.

The Role of the Recipient and the Rise of the Trend

In connection with the above, the "recipient" is the one who creates the so-called "trend" (a trend is simply the general trend that you follow and is created by a particular topic, news, or event and the power of its spread in a given period of time).

While there are those who use the tools of the modern revolution to publish content that elevates societies and aims to reach the highest levels of high-end creativity, the system itself has no interference in the form of outputs.

The technological development at the level of various information systems was not intended to marginalize the role of creativity or to make man dependent, lazy and dependent on the machine, but the main purpose of any development was to help man to be more creative and distinctive, each in his specialty.

Freedom, Responsibility, and Ethics

It is not acceptable in any way for a specialized user in a particular field to play the role of the another’s, under the pretext of freedom. The "engineer" cannot play the role of a "journalist", nor the "journalist" can play the role of a "doctor", because adherence to professional ethics and those who want to change their professional path have the basics, the first of which is studying, so we can develop ourselves, without falling into the trap of provoking or publishing information to the public that misleads the truth, or has defects in its vocabulary just because it falls under the name of "freedom of opinion".

What is said today is not valid tomorrow, even if the available information is complete and correct.

The Misuse of Technology and Artificial Intelligence

Recently, I have observed the circulation of information formulated in the form of conspiracies conspired from one side against another, to question everything that is new, including the use of artificial intelligence as a tool in the formulation of an article, news or scientific research, and apart from the details, the most important question here is, where is the professional or scientific honesty, and what is the purpose of writing the article or conducting scientific research if we are going to rely on the machine?!

Is not the purpose of bringing out the power of creativity within the individual to enlighten others, or to improve lives and develop societies, this is one of the most common examples of misuse of information technology and lying to oneself before others, which shows the deterioration of the levels of morality, education, and selfishness.

A Call for Authentic Mastery

In our current world, efforts are directed to develop the horizons of science and integrate it with various experiences to reach the highest levels of mastery, in order to teach our children and ourselves to show what is inside us and not to use the weapon of the information revolution to lie and mislead ourselves and others, by mentioning what is not in us and obtaining a status that we do not deserve.

Finally, to realize that the goal of everything new is to learn from it to rise and not to bleed ourselves and those around us!
