My research lies at the intersection of international economics, political economy, and political science, with a primary focus on three key areas. First, I investigate the arms trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and its political implications. Second, my work explores issues pertaining to patterns of food production and consumption, with a particular focus on understanding the impact of climate variations on these patterns. Third, I investigate crucial factors influencing state capacity, a pivotal aspect for economic development and growth.

After completing an BA and MA in languages and international relations, I decided to pursue my growing interest in Economics. I took a MSc in Economics at the University of Essex in 2014 and a Ph.D in Institutions and Policies at the Catholic University of Milan in 2017. In 2017 I entered a project on the economics and geography of innovation. In 2019 I became a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Economics at University of Verona. I am currently an assistant professor at the department of Economics and Statistics, "Cognetti de Martiis" of the University of Turin.
