The center also offers free, open‑to‑the‑public career and job search workshops, along with a comprehensive online Job Search Toolbox filled with videos, guides, and tools for a self‑directed job search.
Eligible individuals may also apply for WIOA training grants, which can provide up to $10,000 toward approved career training programs such as IT certifications, commercial driver’s licenses, advanced manufacturing, healthcare programs, and certificate programs at College of DuPage.

Ray Graham Association partners with about 150 businesses and institutions throughout DuPage and nearby counties to help people with disabilities find a job and find the right fit. On-site coaching services available, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Parents Alliance Employment Project

Must be 18-24, have accepted their high school diploma, reside in DuPage County or surrounding counties.
Must have proof of disability (IEP/DRS paperwork/doctor’s note or records), a desire to work competitively and develop strong work ethics, ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Participants is expected to play an active role, have independent hygiene and grooming skills, and be able to access public transportation (travel training provided by program).
This program targets individuals with disabilities who have exited the school system, are unemployed, and encounter barriers to employment. Participants served through this program are provided classroom instruction for two hours a week, where they will learn job readiness and employability skills. Participants simultaneously participate in paid work experiences within the community allowing them to explore different career paths. Upon completion of their job training experiences Inspired by Ability staff focus on gainful competitive, integrated employment.

The focus of the training is on using Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, and Access in conjunction with any needed assistive technology. Students learn while working either one-on-one or two-on-two through realistic business scenarios including working on deadline-driven assignments that teach accountability to students.
Residents of the DuPage Care Center and Veterans receive free services. DONKA is a non-profit their foundation pays for half the cost of all services. DONKA staff will assist clients in getting the other half of their costs subsidized through grant funding, such as WIOA.

Free career and employment services for young adults ages 17–24 who are looking to start a career with long‑term potential. Participants receive individualized career planning, job search support, and access to a variety of resources to help them prepare for the workforce.
Eligible young adults may qualify for WIOA training grants of up to $10,000 to support approved education or career training programs. The program also provides opportunities for paid work experience, skill‑building workshops, and support for developing strong job success skills. Participants who complete the program may also earn up to a $1,000 completion bonus.

Apprenticeship programs provide hands-on training to an employee while gaining necessary competency. They offer skills in a particular occupation, help connect to a career pathway, and combine on-the-job training with appropriate instruction. It is commonly referred to as an “Earn and Learn” model. Currently connecting students to opportunities in business, early childhood education, healthcare, horticulture, information technology, and manufacturing. As positions become available, interested candidates apply to interview with local employer partners. Once a candidate receives and accepts an offer from an employer, they officially begin their journey as an apprentice.
Open to individuals 18 years old and older who are current College of DuPage (COD) students, career changers, veterans, unemployed, under-employed, recent high school or GED graduates or current high school students. There’s even an opportunity for high school students to earn dual-credit through the program. High-schoolers can take the technical courses to get started before they graduate (but they must meet reading, writing and math requirements).

Symbol students are trained by industry professionals with decades of experience. Students learn to apply their hands-on practical skills in our state-of-the-art machine shop. After training, students typically find employment as CNC machine operator, CNC machine setup, CNC machine programmer and other high-demand, high-paying jobs in advanced manufacturing. Students receive job placement assistance.
The applicant must be 16 or older and have basic writing, math and English conversational skills. Morning and Evening classes available. Classes are part-time two days a week, so students can still work full time while taking the 4 month course.
