Welcome to Addi support. Here you’ll find how to play, answers to common questions, and how to get in touch if you need help.
Addi is a numbers puzzle game. Your goal is to select adjacent cells on a grid so that their numbers add up to exactly the target sum shown at the top.
Tap or drag on adjacent cells (horizontally or vertically) to add their numbers.
Reach exactly the target sum to pass the level. If your sum goes over the target, you lose.
Backtrack: Drag backwards over selected cells to remove them.
Clear: Use the Clear button to remove all selections and start over.
Target cells: some levels require you to use exactly a certain number of cells (shown as “Target Cells”). You must reach the target sum *and* use that exact number of cells.
Star cells: can be used twice from different directions to help reach the target.
Multiplier cells (e.g. ×2, ×3, lavender background): multiply your current sum instead of adding a number. A negative multiplier (e.g. −1×) flips the sign of your sum.
Plan your path before selecting.
Look for numbers that can combine to the target.
When “Target Cells” is shown, count your selections carefully.
Q: Why did I lose when my sum was close to the target?
A: You must reach *exactly* the target. If the sum goes over, the level fails. Use Clear or drag backwards to correct your selection.
Q: What does “Target Cells” mean?
A: You must use exactly that many cells in your selection, in addition to reaching the target sum. Count as you select.
Q: Can I select cells that are not next to each other?
A: No. Only cells that are adjacent (horizontally or vertically) can be part of one selection path.
Q: How do I remove a cell from my selection?
A: Drag backwards over the last selected cells, or tap Clear to remove everything.
Q: What is Pro Edition?
A: Pro Edition removes all ads and includes access to the base 250 levels in one purchase.
Q: What is the “250 More Levels” pack?
A: It unlocks 250 additional levels. You can purchase it more than once if further level packs are available.
Q: I bought Pro Edition (or a level pack) but it’s not active. What should I do?
A: Tap Restore purchases on the purchase screen (in the app menu). Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy. If it still doesn’t restore, contact us (see below) with your store receipt or order ID.
Q: I reinstalled the app. Will I lose my purchases?
A: No. Use Restore purchases to restore Pro Edition and level packs on the same Apple ID or Google account.
Q: Do purchases work on both iPhone and iPad (or Android phone and tablet)?
A: Purchases are tied to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android). Restore on each device with the same account.
Q: How do I get rid of ads?
A: Purchase Pro Edition from the in-app purchase screen. After that, ads are removed.
Q: The app crashes or something doesn’t work. What can I do?
A: Try closing the app fully and reopening it, then restart your device. Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. If the problem continues, contact us (see below) and tell us your device model and OS version.
Q: My progress or settings seem wrong.
A: Progress and settings are stored on your device. If you reinstall or clear app data, they may reset. Purchases can be restored with Restore purchases.
