Conference Protocol

Here is the protocol to use for any hearing or meeting conducted by video conference or audio conference.

  1. The Court will control the meeting the same as if it was being held in the Courtroom. Do not speak until you are called upon.

  2. There is a chat function you can use to indicate you have a question.

  3. Mute your phone immediately upon entering the conference. There is no need to announce yourself. The Court receives a notification from the system when you log in. Unmute your phone ONLY when called upon to speak. Ensure that the location you are calling in front is quiet. Phones and computers have very sensitive microphones.

  4. Keep comments short and to the point.

  5. There is a time lag between the video and audio. Be sure to wait 2-3 seconds wen responding.

  6. If possible, use a headphone or earbud. This will dramatically reduce background sounds.
