Adam K. Pham

I am the Howard E. and Susanne C. Jessen Postdoctoral Instructor in the Humanities in the Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Caltech. Recently, I defended my Ph.D. in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

My research interests are interdisciplinary, but broadly focused on topics at the intersection of value theory and social science. My dissertation is about some of our serious moral problems and how we should understand them. My CV can be found here.

Currently, I'm teaching a course called "Ethics & AI," and I have also taught a variety of courses in the philosophy, legal studies, and communication departments at UW. Outside of that, I also enjoy teaching math and chess. In general, I enjoy studying and teaching of all sorts, involving people of all ages.

My personal hobbies include playing the wind controller (which is basically an electronic saxophone), the guitar, and sometimes other instruments, and beach volleyball.
