I created this site as a way to share information about my hobby of keeping dendrobatid frogs, also called poison dart frogs. The introduction and species pages were written to help those who expressed interest in getting started with this hobby decide if it is something they really want to do and to introduce them to some of the different species and determine which they would like to start with. I also keep a variety of other amphibians, reptiles and some fish.
I have enjoyed keeping these frogs since the mid 90s when this was a much smaller, more primitive hobby. I am glad to see that it is growing and advancing and hope that the relatively basic information here will help to steer you in the right direction as you investigate and pursue this hobby or just see what I am raising.
I am located in the southern part of Utah county and am raise enough frogs of certain species that I have some to trade, but no longer breed in quantity to sell them. Click on the link in the sidebar to send me a message if you're raising dart frogs and would like to let me know what you have to trade.
