As an artist, my goal is to illustrate in a visual fantasy driven by a psychological reality within the physical and spiritual world in my artwork. My narrative style uses bold colors, symbolism, and is highly based on my love for creative writing and variations of other cultures from around the world. Much of my work is based on Japanese manga and anime and using their style of thick/thin lines, large eyes, slender body proportions, and vivid colors. So in order to achieve this style, I use Copic markers as my main medium with a touch of watercolor in some of my backgrounds and Faber Castell pencils as part of the shading. In many of my pieces, I try to uncover and bring forth that same type of elegance and innocence that culture shows while revealing a darker and more corrupted meaning behind everyday lives as humans.
