Materials:
12 Balloons (gold, black, or silver)
Black Marker or Black Construction Paper
Tape
Instructions:
Blow up your 12 balloons.
With less time: Draw a number 1 on the first ballon. Draw a 2 on the second balloon. Keep drawing one number per balloon until you have reached 12.
a. With more time: On the construction paper, cut out numbers 1-12. Tape one number on each balloon.2
Once all 12 of the balloons have numbers on them, hang them up (tape works best) in the shape of a clock (12 on top, then going in clockwise order from 1 to 11).
On New Year’s Eve, pop each balloon in the last half of the day on the hour (starting at 1 PM) and going until midnight.
Materials:
1 Empty Flower Pot
Green Paint
Black, Gray, & Yellow/Gold Felt
Glue
(Optional) - Gold/Yellow Paint
(Optional) - Rocks
Instructions:
Get your empty flower pot and green paint. Paint the entire exterior of the flower pot green.
Once the paint is dry, cut a strip of black felt so that it goes around the entire top of the pot one time. Glue on the strip of felt to the top of the pot.
Cut a square of grey felt (around 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches). Then, cut a square out of the middle, so that there is now just a square border.
Glue the square border over a section of the black strip, making a belt buckle. Once the glue dries, you have finished the pot!
Optional - To fill the pot up, you can paint rocks gold and put them inside the pot.

Pipe Cleaners
1 Wood Spoon
Hot Glue
Googly Eyes
Red Marker
(Optional) - Paint
Instructions:
Get your wood spoon and paint. If you want to paint the spoon a certain color, you can, but you don’t have to.
Once the paint dries, get your glue and pipe cleaners. Fold/cut the pipe cleaner so that it looks like hair, and then glue it to the top of your spoon.
Stick googly eyes on the spoon and draw a mouth.
Finally, fold one or two pipe cleaners in the shape of arms/hands and tie them around the middle of the spoon.
Then, your spoon puppet is complete!
Materials:
(1 sheet) Red Paper
(1 sheet) Yellow Paper
(2 sheets) white paper
Glue
Pen/Pencil
Scissors
Instructions:
Get your red and (one sheet of) white paper. Cut out stripes from the papers.
On the other sheet of white paper, draw the shape of a popcorn bucket (basically a trapezoid).
Alternating the red and white stripes, cut them so they they fill up the space inside the popcorn bucket outline.
Cut 1 inch x 1 inch squares from the yellow paper.
On each of the squares, write something you like about your dad.
Then, crumple up each square to look like popcorn.
Add a little bit of glue to the square, and place it on top of the popcorn bucket. Do this for all of the other squares.
Have your dad pull of each yellow paper (popcorn) and see what’s inside!
Materials:
1 Toilet Paper Roll
2 Red Cupcake Wrappers
White Paint
Black Marker
Brown Pipe Cleaner
Hot Glue
Instructions:
Get your toilet paper roll and white paint. Paint the roll white and let it dry.
With your black marker, draw seeds on the middle of the roll.
Get your two cupcake wrappers. Put one wrapper down on the table face up. Put some hot glue on the bottom of it. Then, stick in one end of the roll.
Flip over the toilet paper roll and repeat step 3.
On the top of the toilet paper roll with the red cupcake wrapper, stick in part of a brown pipe cleaner to be the stem. Then, you’re done!
