Our school is a public secondary school located in the Murcia Region in the Mar Menor, Los Alcázares.
We are approximately 70 teachers and about 900 students between 12 and 20 years old.
Our school is always creating activities on the environment due to the fact that we have suffered serious floods in recent years and this has affected the population and the salty lagoon of Los Alcázares and is also affected by the polluting discharges with nitrates produced by the crops that are found near the Mar Menor.
Los Alcázares is a Spanish municipality in the Region of Murcia, with 16,590 inhabitants. Located on the shore of the Mar Menor, it offers 7 km of coastline from Los Narejos to Punta Brava and dedicates a large part of its economic activity to the service sector, mainly due to tourism, agriculture and fishing.
On October 12, Caldero Day is celebrated on the beaches, which is very popular and they make their 'calderos', a typical dish of the Mar Menor, whose recipe, based on rice and fish, is the most popular in Los Alcázares.

Spanish gastronomy is wide and varied, with dishes as typical as gazpacho, paella, Madrid stew, fabada, Iberian ham, seafood or typical local fish. Olive oil, of which Spain is the first producing country in the world, is used in a wide variety of dishes, and is highly appreciated in other countries.
