RMNHS execute Waste Material Disposal
By Romadel Tanio
Recto Memoral National High School (RMNHS) had a Waste Disposal and they will be sent it to the Junk Shop including books, paper, water bottles and irons to reduce obsolete equipment inside the school.
According to Romar Sario, School Property Custodian of Recto, the collection of Waste Materials started on May 8 and will be taken to the junk shop because they are no longer used and they have been in the school for five years so they can be disposed of.
He said the books are being disposed of because they are no longer affiliated with the new Curriculum and disposal of Waste Materials still has a process that needs to be signed by the Commission On Audit (COA).
Since Recto is still waiting for COA's approval to dispose of the Waste Materials, they first collect them in one place for easy retrieval.
However, the books will be sold at the junk shop and the cost will be pesos per kilo of books, and DepEd will send Recto another book.
Sario said that the first thing that was weighed was the papers to be sent to the junk shop so that they could not be read because wet papers and books could no longer be sold.
He said that if they were to be read, it would be a waste to tire some teachers and utilities to haul heavy books so they were first sent to the junk shop.
