I completed my B.Tech+M.Tech in 2007 from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Aerodynamics. I received my PhD in 2014 from Virginia Tech in Aerospace Engineering within the Aero/Hydrodynamics stream. My research interests include — VV&UQ (Verification, Validation, and Uncertainty Quantification), Method of Manufactured Solutions, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), Algorithm Development, Numerical Methods, Multiphase Flows, and Mesh Adaptation.
After my PhD, I worked with the Multiphase Flow Science group at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (Morgantown, USA) — first as a postdoctoral fellow with ORISE for an year and then briefly as a Research Engineer with AECOM. In April 2016, I left my position at AECOM and returned to India due to personal reasons. After taking a short break, I joined as a postdoctoral researcher within the Applied Mechanics department at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). I am currently working as a Software Developer for a commercial multiphysics simulation software.
I love all things Computational Mechanics. The combination of Physics, Mathematics, and Computers has interested me since my high school days. I want to learn, develop and employ computational mechanics techniques for advancing the cause of better engineering using computational simulations.
A brief summary of my past and ongoing research projects can be found here. My curriculum vitae with full list of publications and several other details can be found here.
