Conference on Auctions, Competition, Regulation, and Public Policy

May 30-31, 2023

Call for Papers

Lancaster University “Auctions, competition, regulation, and public policy” will be held at the Lancaster University Management School on May 30th and 31st, 2023.

The keynote speakers are Professor Jakub Kastl (Princeton University) and Professor Dan Bernhardt (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign).

We would like to invite you to participate in the annual conference on “Auctions, Competition, Regulation, and Public Policy”. The objective of the conference is to stimulate, in particular, applied research on auctions, competition, regulation, and public policy by bringing together leading researchers in the field.

The Conference on "Auctions, Competition, Regulation, and Public Policy" is being hosted by the Department of Economics at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) and is organised by Dakshina De Silva, David Rietzke and Aurélie Slechten.

We are also happy to announce that we are having a special issue with the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance (QREF). All present and past participants are encouraged to submit a paper to be considered for publication, ideally on the topic of their presentation in the conference or having some connection with it. The QREF is under "new management" since the summer of 2022, with Dan Bernhardt as Editor-in-Chief. An integral part of the journal's new mission is to host Special Issues. George Deltas, Dakshina De Silva, David Rietzke, and Klenio Barbosa will be editing the Issue centered on the Lancaster conferences.

Please submit your papers to d.desilva@lancaster.ac.uk with the subject line “Auctions, competition, regulation, and public policy” by March 1st, 2023.
