Learn and play tennis - free
ACIF members have free access to a tennis court twice per week:
When: Tuesdays, Court 1 at 7:00-8:00 (every week with a coach)
Where: Älta tennis hall, Älta Idrottsväg 9
Since we have both less experienced and more advanced players we alternate the trainings so that less experienced and more advanced take turns.
To be able to use a court any other times you need to reserve it in the booking calendar found on the start page of this website. You will need the calendar log-in details to book. You can request those by mailing email@example.com
Booking the tennis hall other times during weekdays
This is possible at 07:00, 08:00, and 22:00. Assuming that you have a day off work (ACIF activities should take place outside office hours), 10:00, 13:00 and 14:00 should also be possible to book. The other times are more expensive so we avoid them.
Bookings of courts in Älta during weekends
This is possible at 07:00, 08:00, 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00. Other times are too expensive.
For the tennis hall booking instructions, contact Ken Lagerborg, firstname.lastname@example.org
Scania overcomes ACIF in annual tennis thriller
ACIF and Scania played their sixth annual tennis battle on September 2, and after some thrilling matches the truck and bus manufacturer’s team could raise the trophy.
As Scania won on four of the five previous occasions, they came to the Hellasgården tennis courts in Nacka as slight favorites. The ACIF players were optimistic and energetic, longing for revenge after last year’s extremely narrow loss at Scania’s home courts in Södertälje.
Each team came with eight players, and the matches were all doubles except for one singles match. Scania was ahead 7.5 vs 4.5 when heavy rain suddenly swept in over the outdoor courts, preventing the last four matches from being played.
“This is a very fun event that has become a nice tradition, we hope it can continue for many years,” said Ola Kinnander of Epiroc, this year’s ACIF team captain. “In addition to good exercise and fun tennis it’s a valuable exchange between the companies.”
ACIF’s players were Ola Kinnander, Ken Lagerborg, Kristina Lindblom, Susanna Lindblom, Mats Weckberg, Marcelo Mantovani, Johan Rönblom and Anton Hellström.
