Join the ACIF Remote Challenge!

Stay physically and mentally healthy through training

Due to Coronavirus restrictions most of us don’t meet in Sickla for work and organized ACIF activities are not recommended in Sickla. However, it’s important to maintain your physical and mental wellbeing by exercising indoors and/or outdoors. Some exercise during your lunch break or before or after work will give your body, mind and mood a real boost!

You can join our weekly challenges individually or in small groups, as long as you maintain the recommended physical distance.

Share a post about your week’s activity, ideally with a selfie, on the ACIF Facebook Group (or ask us to do it for you) and you’ll qualify for the ACIF Remote Challenge Award!

There's no need to register for the challenge. We will follow and collect your reports via the ACIF Facebook Group. More info to come about prizes.

Period: Weeks 18 – 24 (April 27 – June 14)

Choose your challenge

Week 18: April 27 – May 3

Outdoors: Step challenge; 100 000 steps over 7 days

Indoors: Plank challenge; 30 seconds/day or as long as you can, every day

Week 19: May 4 – May 10

Outdoors: Go to the nearest outdoor gym and exercise 30 minutes, using each tool 2-3 days

Indoors: Follow any online training, 2-3 days, or sit on your knees on the floor and stretch and focus on your breathing for 10 minutes, 7 days

Week 20: May 11 – May 17

Outdoors: Go for a walk with a colleague/friend, either physically together or digitally using Teams, 2 days

Indoors: Push-ups, 20-40 / day, 7 days, or 2 yoga sessions with Nacka Yoga Studio

Week 21: May 18 – May 24

Outdoors: Find a path in a nearby park or forest, walk/run 20 minutes minimum, 2 days

Indoors: Sit on an imaginary chair against the wall (with a 90-degree angle at the knees) for as long as you can, 7 days

Week 22: May 25 – May 31

Outdoors: Do a physical activity outdoors that you have never done before. What can it be?

Indoors: Dance individually, with family members, or using Teams with a friend or colleague, to your favorite high-rhythm music, 20 minutes , Burpies 3 x 10 , 3 days

Week 23: June 1 – June 7

Outdoors: Play soccer/basketball/volleyball/brännball with colleagues or friends outdoors, 1 day

Indoors: Sit-ups challenge; 30 / day, 7 days

Week 24: June 8 – June 14

Outdoors: Go on a bike tour. If you don’t have a bike, rent or borrow one. 60 minutes, 2-3 days

Indoors: Yoga; do the sun salutation and downward dog position 5 times per day, 2-3 days

Siljan Runt moved to September 12

ACIF will again participate in the cycling event Siljan Runt, which takes place on Saturday, September 12 this year. Siljan Runt is a very nice cycling race around Lake Siljan and Lake Orsa in the beautiful environment of Dalecarlia (Dalarna). There are three different distances to choose between. Most people cycle the longest race, which is 160 km.

ACIF covers the costs for the hotel in Mora, food and participants’ starting fee to join Siljan Runt.

The travel to and from Dalarna is coordinated by the participants. Those who volunteer to drive are reimbursed for the fuel costs by the passengers in their car.

As the race takes place on Saturday, September 12, participants will travel to Mora sometime after lunch on Friday.
